Abstract The incidence of thyroid and breast diseases is increasing, thyroid and breast belong to hormone response organ. There is a clear correlation between the two diseases, thyroid disease can increase the risk of breast disease and vice versa. The same pathogenesis of them is still under study. It is clear that estrogen and thyroxine promote the occurrence and development. This paper reviews the progress of researchs concerning the role of estrogen and thyroid hormone in thyroid and breast diseases.
