Study of construction of post competence index system for nosocomial infection prevention and control professionals |

Abstract Objective To construct a competency evaluation index system for nosocomial infection control personnel to clarify the post competency requirements and to provide theoretical basis and feasible suggestions for nosocomial infection management and curriculum system construction, based on the competence theory and motivation theory. Methods From December 2020 to May 2021, this study conducted literature research and expert interviews to extract problems and draw up a preliminary draft, and adopted the Delphi method to conduct two rounds of consultation with 21 experts in the field of nosocomial infection, and then established the post competency index system of infection control personnel. Results After two rounds of expert consultation, the questionnaire recovery rate was 100%, the authority coefficient was 0.833 and 0.863, and the final competency index system of hospital infection control personnel included four first-level indicators, 11 second-level indicators and 46 third-level indicators. Conclusion The post competency index system of infection control personnel is reasonable, reliable, scientific, and practical, comprehensive in content, and has good reliability and validity, which can provide reference for the training of application-oriented infection control personnel at grassroots level in China.
