| Effects of attention and interpretation therapy on the symptoms, mental resilience and quality of life of patients with lung cancer |

Abstract Objective To explore the effects of attention and interpretation therapy on the symptoms, mental resilience, and quality of life of patients with lung cancer. Methods A total of 80 patients with lung cancer admitted to Xuancheng People’s Hospital in Anhui Province from January 2020 to December 2022 were selected, they were divided into observation group and control group according to random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing intervention, the observation group received combined attention and interpretation therapy intervention on the basis of routine care. The changes of symptoms, mental resilience, and quality of life due to cancer fatigue were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, the scores of cancer fatigue assessment scale in both groups were lower than those of before intervention, and the observation group was lower than the control group (P＜0.05); after the intervention, the psychological resilience scores and Karnofsky performance status scores of both groups were higher than those of before the intervention, and the observation group was higher than the control group (P＜0.05). Conclusion Atention and interpretation therapy can effectively alleviate cancer-related fatigue symptoms, improve psychological resilience levels, and enhance the quality of life for patients with lung cancer.
