Methods A total of 145 preschool children with anaphylactoid purpura and their parents admitted to the Department of Pediatrics, Fuyang People’s Hospital from January 2020 to December 2022 were selected by convenience sampling method, and they were divided into control group (73 cases) and observation group (72 cases) by random number table method. The control group carried out routine health education, and the observation group carried out comprehensive empowering health education for family members. The parents’ compliance behavior, the time of social function, clinical symptoms, and hospital stay were compared between the two groups. Results The rates of correct medication, scientific diet, good habits, timely review, prevention of incentives, and compliance behavior of parents in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05); after intervention, the Weiss functional impairment rating scale of parent scale in the two groups was lower than those of before intervention, and the observation group was lower than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The time of joint symptom disappearance, gastrointestinal healing, skin symptom disappearance, and hospitalization in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Family empowering health education for preschool children with anaphylactoid purpura can effectively alleviate anxiety, shorten hospital stay, and enhance social function.
