Abstract Objective To investigate the relationship between Ki-67LI and EGFR gene mutation in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), as well as to further analyze the effect of Ki-67LI on the survival of patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Methods From July 2015 to July 2016, total of 100 patients with non-small cell lung cancer were treated in Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University. And 100 patients were examined by EGFR mutation. The relationship between Ki-67LI and EGFR mutation and its relationship with prognosis were investigated. Results A total of 100 cases were detected by EGFR mutation, among them, 57 cases were mutated and the mutation rate was 57%, the incidence of which was more frequent in women, non-smokers, adenocarcinoma patients (P < 0.01), and also found that EGFR mutations were associated with Ki-67, Ki-67LI values were more likely to occur in patients with EGFR mutations-positive (P < 0.05), and Ki-67LI was also an independent factor in the prognosis of patients with non-small cell lung cancer (OR=2.503, 95%CI: 1.077-5.815, P=0.033). Conclusion The value of Ki-67LI can independently predict the prognosis of non-small cell lung cancer patients, which is has a close relationship with EGFR mutations.
