| Overview of Professor Wang Xuanzhang’s experience in “theory, method, prescription, technique” of massage science |

Abstract This paper summarizes the theory and experience of Professor Wang Xuanzhang, a famous massage master, on “theory, method, prescription, technique” of massage science. Professor Wang Xuanzhang is very expert in the treatment of soft tissue injury and internal and gynecological diseases by massage, with rich experience and considerable achievements. After years of research and practice on classics such as Huangdi Neijing, Professor Wang Xuanzhang put forward the theory of “theory, method, prescription, technique” of massage, such as “truth theory”, “method of acupoint-pressing and pulse-regulating”, “differentiation method of form and qi”, “method of five-level massage” and the classification of five elements and yin yang of massage manipulation, guiding the clinical diagnosis and treatment of massage with significant effect and providing new ideas and methods for massage teaching and clinical practice. It plays an important guiding role in the innovation, development, and research of massage. The academic theory and experience of massage of professor Wang Xuanzhang are worthy of research, reference, and inheritance by future generations of doctors.
