| Research progress of traditional Chinese medicine on anti-Staphylococcus aureus |

Abstract Staphylococcus aureus (SA) is one of the most common pathogenic bacteria of hospital and community acquisition. In recent years, the trend of outbreak of drug-resistant strains of Staphylococcus aureus is gradually serious, but the effective treatment program is extremely limited, resulting in high morbidity and mortality of its infection. Numerous practices have proved that the antibacterial effect of traditional Chinese medicine is beyond doubt, especially for the resistant strains that are ineffective in antibiotic treatment, traditional Chinese medicine has a broad application prospect. This paper reviews the research progress of Chinese medicine in the treatment of Staphylococcus aureus and provides a new idea for guiding the clinical development of effective treatment.
