Abstract Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death worldwide. The prevalence and mortality of cardiovascular disease in China is still rising year by year. Long-chain non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are a new class of non-coding RNAs that are involved in a variety of biological processes. Abnormalities of lncRNAs are directly related to human cardiovascular diseases. Abnormal lncRNA regulation loops are associated with cardiac hypertrophy, vascular disease, atherosclerosis, and dyslipidemia. This article reviews recent advances in long-chain non-coding RNA and cardiovascular disease.
