Abstract Objective To explore the influencing factors and intervention strategies of kinetophobia in elderly orthopedic surgery patients based on logistic regression analysis. Methods A total of 80 elderly orthopedic surgery patients admitted to wuhu First People’s Hospital, Anhui Province from July 2021 to April 2022 were selected. The patients’ kinetophobia was evaluated by using the Tampa scale of kinesiophobia (TSK) scale after surgery. The patients were divided into the fear of movement group (24 cases with TSK score ≥38 points) and the non-fear group (56 cases with TSK score <38 points). The numerical rating scale (NRS) was used to evaluate patients’ pain and the general self-efficacy scale (GSES) was used to evaluate patients’ self-efficacy. The influencing factors of patients’ fear were determined by single factor comparison and multiple logistic regression analysis. Results There were statistically significant differences in the proportion of gender and education between the two groups (P<0.05). The NRS score of the agnostic group was higher than that of the non-agnostic group, and the GSES score was lower than that of the non-agnostic group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Logistic regression results showed that, male (OR [95%CI] =4.158 [1.193-14.491]), education level of junior high school or below (OR [95%CI] =1.942 [1.122-3.361]), NRS score (OR [95%CI] =4.802 [1.162-19.847]) were the risk factors for postoperative motophoresis (P<0.05); GSES score (OR [95%CI] =0.265 [0.092-0.761]) was the protective factor for postoperative moophobia (P<0.05). Conclusion Postoperative rinetophobia in elderly orthopedic surgery patients is related to gender, education level, NRS score and GSES score. Targeted intervention can be conducted according to the above factors to reduce the occurrence of rinetophobia.
