Abstract With the deepening and expansion of brain science research, the brain tissue bank as the infrastructure of brain science research has been attached great importance by countries all over the world. This paper summarizes the construction and management of human brain tissue banks in the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Japan, as well as the experience and characteristics in the aspects of ethical standards, operational norms, diversified funding sources, high-quality brain bank management, data sharing platform construction, and analyzes the current situation of the construction of human brain tissue banks in China. At the same time, combining with the needs of Chinese brain science research, this paper draws on foreign experience, and puts forward some policy suggestions on the construction and management of Chinese brain bank from the aspects of strengthening policies and regulations, increasing financial investment, strengthening the construction of data sharing platform, promoting international cooperation and governance, strengthening ethics and humanistic care, etc.
