Abstract Virus replication is the key node for virus to survive and reproduce in the host, which is very harmful to human health. Humoral immunity and cellular immunity are the main means for the body to regulate virus replication. However, due to the complexity and diversity of the human immune system, most of the mechanisms of virus replication are still unclear. Circular RNA is a kind of non coding RNA with the function of gene expression regulation. It regulates viral replication by regulating immune response factors, miRNA, proteins, replication starting points, DNA synthesis and assembly, and other processes. Although there are problems such as low expression of circular RNA and high cost of sequencing and library building, circular RNA is still a good method to explain the mechanism of virus replication.
