Clinical and mechanistic advances of chinese medicine intervention in membranous nephropathy |

Abstract Traditional Chinese medicine can regulate immunity, weaken adverse reactions, and improve renal function from various aspects, and to some certain extent, it can be used as the choice before the clinical application of hormones and immunosuppressants in membranous nephropathy. This article reviews the clinical and experimental research of famous doctors and the intervention of traditional Chinese medicine in membranous nephropathy, aiming to discuss the treatment concepts, methods and intervention mechanisms of traditional Chinese medicine for membranous nephropathy, promote clinical and experimental research, and better guide clinical practice. In recent years, the clinical and experimental research progress of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of membranous nephropathy is summarized. Multi-channel intervention of traditional Chinese medicine delays renal fibrosis, anti-inflammatory and oxidative stress, and repairs foot cells, thereby improving the pathological damage of membranous nephropathy. At present, the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of membranous nephropathy is very good, but it still needs to be supported by large samples and long-term research data, and the drug and formulation mechanism need to be further studied.
