| Expression and clinical significance of CC chemokine receptor 4 in colorectal cancer |

Abstract Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance of CC chemokine receptor 4 (CCR4) in colorectal cancer. Methods Wax samples of cancer tissue and para-cancer tissue were collected from 80 patients with colorectal cancer who were pathologically diagnosed in the First Hospital of Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province from January 2016 to June 2017. The expression level of CCR4 in colorectal cancer tissues and adjacent tissues were determined by immunohistochemistry, and the relationship with the clinicopathological features and prognosis of colorectal cancer were analyzed. Results There was significant difference in the positive rate of CCR4 between colorectal cancer tissues and adjacent tissues (P＜0.05). There was significant difference in the positive rate of CCR4 in colorectal cancer tissues with different depth of invasion, vascular/nerve infiltration, and lymph node metastasis (P＜0.05). The overall survival time and the disease-free survival time of CCR4-positive expression patients were shorter than those of negative expression patients (P＜0.05). Conclusion The increased expression of CCR4 in colorectal cancer tissues is related to its occurrence and development, and may be used as a potential prognostic indicator for colorectal cancer.
