Abstract Objective To investigate the effect of fracture liaison service (FLS) intervention in postoperative nursing of patients with brittle fracture of spinal. Methods A total of 80 patients with spinal fragility fracture treated in the Department of Orthopedics, Wenzhou People’s Hospital of Zhejiang Province from January to May 2021 were selected as the study objects, according to random number table method, the patients were divided into observation group and control group, with 40 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing, and the observation group received FLS intervention on the basis of routine nursing. The medication compliance after discharge, the occurrence of falls and secondary fractures after discharge, and the improvement of life quality were observed. Results At six months after discharge, the score of medication compliance in the control group was lower than that at admission, while the score in the observation group was higher than that at admission, and the observation group higher than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05); the incidence of falls and secondary fractures in the observation group were lower than those in the control group within six months after discharge, and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05); at six months after discharge, the total score of the health survey summary table in both groups was higher than that at admission, and the observation group was higher than the control group, and the difference were statistically significant (P＜0.05). Conclusion FLS intervention in the nursing of patients with brittle fracture of spinal can improve patients’ medication compliance after discharge, effectively reduce the risk of postoperative falls and re-fractures, and significantly improve patients’ quality of life.
