Abstract Total hip arthroplasty is a successful procedure for people with hip fractures to reduce chronic pain and enhance joint function. However, how to effectively relieve postoperative pain in elderly patients with poor cardiopulmonary function and multiple complications, and accelerate postoperative rehabilitation has become an important problem that anesthesiologists pay attention to. This paper reviews the studies on iliac fascia block in PubMed, CNKI, and Wanfang Data. It is found that ultrasound-guided iliac fascia space block based on the concept of accelerated rehabilitation surgery, especially the superior inguinal ligament approach, has significant postoperative analgesic effect and little impact on joint motor function. It has obvious advantages in early analgesia and rapid recovery after total hip replacement in the elderly.
