| Effect of phased rehabilitation intervention on postoperative pain and functional recovery in patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty |

Abstract Objective To investigate the measures and effects of phased rehabilitation intervention in postoperative nursing of patients with knee osteoarthritis (KOA). Methods A total of 100 patients with KOA treated in Hefei First People’s Hospital from May 2019 to March 2022 were divided into two groups. The control group (50 cases) received routine rehabilitation intervention after surgery, while the observation group (50 cases) received phased rehabilitation intervention after surgery. The degree of pain, recovery of joint function and ability of daily living were observed 21 days after the operation. Results After intervention, the visual analogue scale score of the two groups was lower than that before intervention, while that of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05). After intervention, the hospital for special surgery score, active and passive range of motion in the two groups were higher than those before intervention, while those of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05). Conclusion Phased rehabilitation intervention in postoperative nursing of KOA patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty can effectively help patients better relieve postoperative pain and promote better improvement of postoperative joint function.
