Abstract MicroRNA (miRNA) is a class of small non-coding single-stranded RNA with a length of 22 nucleotides, which is mainly responsible for the regulation of gene post-transcriptional expression. Previous studies have confirmed that miRNA plays an important regulatory role in the pathophysiological processes of cell growth and development, differentiation, proliferation, and apoptosis. In recent years, studies have found that the abnormal expression of miRNA is closely related to the occurrence and development of osteosarcoma (OS), and regulation of miRNA can inhibit the progression of OS. In addition, studies have also shown that miRNA can be used as a marker of OS chemotherapy response and an important prognostic indicator of OS. Therefore, the role of miRNA in OS has become a hot research topic. In this paper, the research progress of miRNA in OS will be reviewed in order to provide theoretical basis for further research.
