Abstract Myasthenia gravis (MG) is an acquired autoimmune neurological disorder disease. Network imbalance of MG-related cytokines such as interleukin (IL), interferon-γ (IFN-γ), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), and transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β) is an important mechanism of MG pathogenesis. In recent years, numerous evidences have shown that traditional Chinese medicine therapy can multi-target the intervention of MG abnormal cytokines. It can inhibit the pro-inflammatory cytokines represented by IL-17, IFN-γ, and TNF-α, and promote the anti-inflammatory cytokines IL-10 and TGF-β. Based on basic research literature, this paper analyzes and summarizes the studies on the regulation of MG-related cytokines by traditional Chinese medicine therapy, in order to provide theoretical basis and positive reference for experiments and clinical.
