| Perioperative nursing and effect of robot assisted radical prostatectomy for patients with prostate cancer |

Abstract Objective To explore the perioperative nursing intervention measures and effect of robot assisted radical prostatectomy. Methods A total of 74 prostate cancer patients who underwent radical resection in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University from July 2020 to August 2021 were selected. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 37 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing intervention, while the observation group was given fine perioperative nursing intervention. After intervention, the relevant surgical indicators, postoperative complications, and the improvement of quality of life were observed in the two groups. Results After intervention, operation time, postoperative exclusion, extubation, and hospital stay in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, and the amount of blood loss, and operation cost were less than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05). The total incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05). The scores of short form of quality of life measurement scale of the two groups were higher than those before the intervention, and the scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05). Conclusion During the treatment of prostate cancer patients undergoing robot assisted radical resection, strengthen fine perioperative nursing intervention, can shorten the rehabilitation process of patients and help to improve their quality of life.
