Abstract Objective To visually analyze the research literature on caloric restriction in delaying aging in the past decade, and to explore the research status and hot spots in this field. Methods The relevant literature of Web of Science core collection database from January 2012 to December 2021 was retrieved. CiteSpace 5.8 R3 software was used to conduct knowledge graph analysis on the authors, institutions, countries, keywords, and co-cited literatures and authors of the selected literatures. Results A total of 2 986 literatures were included. The main research country and institution was the National Institute on Aging in the United States; the most published and cited authors were RAFAEL DE CABO and FONTANA L; hot keywords were calorie restriction, oxidative stress, gene expression, insulin resistance, and obesity, etc. Conclusion In the past decade, the trend of annual publications on caloric restriction delaying aging research has been relatively stable. Exploring the potential mechanism of caloric restriction delaying aging and discovering more drug targets and interventions are the research hotspots in this field.
