Evaluation on the effect of advanced simulated human tracheal intubation situational simulation teaching method in standardized training and teaching of traditional Chinese medicine specialty |

Abstract Objective To evaluate the effect of advanced simulation teaching method on airway intubation and airway management in standardized training of traditional Chinese medicine. Methods A total of 80 standardized training physicians of traditional Chinese medicine were divided into the traditional teaching method group (group C) and the advanced simulation teaching method group (group A), with 40 people in each group. Group C was taught with traditional teaching method combined with ordinary simulated person, and group A was taught with Gaumard S1030 high-end simulated person based on group C. Before the training, a thorough investigation and theoretical examination were conducted. After the training, a theoretical and practical examination was conducted, and the course satisfaction was investigated. Results Before training, there was no significant difference in the investigation results of the two groups (P > 0.05). After training, the theoretical test scores and practical test scores of the two groups were higher than those before teaching, and group A was higher than group C (P < 0.05). The passing rate of the first examination and the success rate of the first intubation in group A were higher than those in group C (P < 0.05), and the operation time of intubation was shorter than that in group C (P < 0.05). The course satisfaction of group A was higher than that of group C (P < 0.05). Conclusion Advanced simulation teaching method can improve the students’ ability of airway management and course satisfaction.
