芪桂活血汤联合针刺治疗气虚血瘀型糖尿病周围神经病变的临床研究

Abstract Objective To investigate the effect of Qigui Huoxue Decoction combined with acupuncture in the treatment of blood stasis due to qi deficiency type diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN). Methods A total of 99 patients with DPN admitted to Lu’an Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2019 to October 2021 were selected and they were divided into three groups according to the random number table method, with 33 cases in each group. Control group 1 was treated with acupuncture, control group 2 was treated with Qigui Huoxue Decoction, and observation group was treated with Qigui Huoxue Decoction combined with acupuncture for four weeks. The clinical efficacy, traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score, Toronto clinical scoring system (TCSS), common peroneal nerve conduction velocity and visual analogue scale (VAS) were compared among the three groups, and the incidence of adverse reactions was recorded. Results The clinical efficacy of observation group was better than that of control group 1 and control group 2 (P ＜ 0.05). After treatment, the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores, TCSS scores, and VAS scores of the three groups were lower than those before treatment, and the sensory nerve conduction velocity (SNCV) and motor nerve conduction velocity (MNCV) of the common peroneal nerve were higher than those before treatment (P ＜ 0.05). After treatment, the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score, TCSS score, and VAS score of the observation group were lower than those of the control group 1 and 2, SNCV and MNCV were higher than those in control group 1 and 2 (P ＜ 0.05). There were no obvious adverse reactions in the three groups during treatment. Conclusion Qigui Huoxue Decoction combined with acupuncture is effective in the treatment of blood stasis due to qi deficiency type DPN, which can improve nerve conduction velocity and relieve pain.
