| Effect of Xiangju Capsules combined with Rhinocort on the recovery of mucosal function and olfactory function after operation of chronic sinusitis#br# |

Abstract Objective To investigate the effect of Xiangju Capsules combined with Rhinocort on the recovery of mucosal function and olfactory function after operation of chronic sinusitis. Methods From September 2018 to September 2021, 82 patients with chronic sinusitis treated with sinus endoscopy and surgical dynamic system in Suzhou Ninth People’s Hospital, Jiangsu Province were selected and divided into control group (41 cases) and observation group (41 cases) by random number table method. The control group was treated with Rhinocort, and the observation group was treated with Xiangju Capsules on the basis of the control group. Four weeks were a course of treatment, and both groups were treated with two courses of treatment. The efficacy of the two groups was compared, and the traditional Chinese medicine symptom score, mucosal function, and olfactory function before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. The incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups was recorded. Results The total effective rate of observation group was higher than that of control group (P ＜ 0.05). After treatment, the scores of main symptoms, secondary symptoms, and total scores of traditional Chinese medicine symptom in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the observation group was lower than that of the control group (P ＜ 0.05). After treatment, the mucosal function scores of the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the observation group was lower than that of the control group (P ＜ 0.05). The olfactory function scores of the two groups at 1, 3, and 5 weeks after treatment were lower than those before treatment, and the olfactory function scores of the observation group at 1, 3, and 5 weeks after treatment were lower than those of the control group (P ＜ 0.05). Conclusion Xiangju Capsules combined with Rhinocort can improve the mucosal function and olfactory function of patients with chronic sinusitis. It has significant curative effect and good safety.
