| Research progress of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease |

Abstract Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a common respiratory disease with high mortality and a heavy economic burden. Modern medical treatment of COPD has disadvantages such as high cost and large side effects. Traditional Chinese medicine has obvious advantages in the treatment of this disease. This article expounds the understanding of the pathogenesis of COPD by traditional Chinese medicine, and reviews the traditional Chinese medicine treatment in recent years from the aspects of lung, spleen, and kidney qi deficiency, yang deficiency, phlegm turbidity, blood stasis, etc., in order to provide more reference for clinical treatment.
