Effect of high definition transcranial direct current stimulation combined with Fluoxetine Hydrochloride in the treatment of post-stroke patients with depression with sleep disorders |

Abstract Objective To analyze the clinical effect of high definition transcranial direct current stimulation (HD-tDCS) combined with Fluoxetine Hydrochloride in patients with post-stroke depression (PSD) and sleep disorders. Methods A total of 87 PSD patients with sleep disorders admitted to Hangzhou Seventh People’s Hospital from March 2019 to December 2021 were selected as the research subjects and divided into treatment group (44 cases) and control group (43 cases) by random number table method. Both groups received routine basic treatment and psychological intervention, the control group was additionally treated with Fluoxetine Hydrochloride, and the treatment group was combined with HD-tDCS based on the control group, both groups were treated for four weeks. The Hamilton depression scale (HAMD) score, the degree of neurological deficit, the Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PQSI), and the living ability were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. The adverse reactions of the two groups during the treatment period were observed. Results After treatment, scores of HAMD, Chinese stroke scale (CSS), and PQSI in two groups were lower than those before treatment, and Barthel index was higher than that before treatment. Teh 8 scores of HAMD and CSS, and PQSI in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group, and Barthel index was higher than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). During the treatment, the liver and kidney function and blood routine examination results of the two groups were normal, and there were no serious adverse events. Conclusion HD-tDCS combined with Fluoxetine Hydrochloride in the treatment of PSD patients with sleep disorders can significantly improve the mood and sleep quality of patients, promote the improvement of neurological deficits, improve the ability of life, and has good safety.
