Abstract Spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD) is defined as a non-traumatic and non-iatrogenic separation of the coronary arterial walls that creates a false lumen. When managment of SCAD patients, early diagnosis is crucial so that the use of unnecessary and even potentially harmful pharmacologic therapies may be avoided. Therefore, the aim of this article is to provide a review of the first-line approaches——conservative or revascularisation for patients with SCAD.
