Effect of acromioclavicular ligament combined with modified double TightRope loop plate to reconstruction of coracoclavicular ligament on Rockwood Ⅲ acromioclavicular joint dislocation |

Abstract Objective To investigate the effect of acromioclavicular ligament combined with modified double TightRope loop plate to reconstruct coracoclavicular ligament on Rockwood Ⅲ acromioclavicular joint dislocation. Methods A total of 82 patients with acromioclavicular joint dislocation from April 2018 to June 2020 in Wuxi Taihu Hospital of Jiangsu Province were selected. They were divided into control group (41 cases, who received modified double TightRope loop plate to reconstruction of coracoclavicular ligament) and study group (41 cases, combined with acromioclavicular ligament treatment on the basis of control group). The related rehabilitation indicators between two groups were compared, Constant-Murley scores and visual analogue scale (VAS) scores before and after operation were compared between two groups, and the incidence of complications was observed. Results The operation time of study group was longer than that of control group, the intraoperative blood loss was higher than that of control group, while the postoperative drainage volume was shorter than that of control group (P < 0.05). One year after operation, the Constant-Murley scores of two groups were higher than those before operation, and those of study group was higher than those of control group (P < 0.05). At six months after operation, the VAS scores of two groups were lower than those before operation, and those of study group was lower than those of control group (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of complications between two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion The treatment of Rockwood type Ⅲ acromioclavicular joint dislocation by acromioclavicular ligament combined with modified double TightRope loop plate to reconstruction of coracoclavicular ligament is effective, can reduce shoulder pain, and is safe and reliable.
