Abstract With the increasing number of patients suffering from orthopedic diseases year by year, the quality of the patient’s life is seriously affected, and there is a lack of reliable and objective clinical efficacy evaluation indicators. Infrared thermal imaging technology is an emerging high-tech functional imaging detection technology, through the infrared camera to obtain the strong and weak signals of infrared radiation in the function changes of tissue metabolism, blood running functions, after the computer multimedia technology treatment, the signals are expressed by the infrared images in different color, show the temperature distribution on the surface of the case, then to achieve the diagnosis of disease, evaluation of disease treatment effect and other purposes. This paper reviews the application of infrared thermal imaging in the evaluation of the curative effect of common orthopaedic diseases.
