Analysis of Professor Cheng Weiping’s medication rule in the treatment of ischemic stroke based on data mining

Abstract  Objective To summarize the prescription and medication rule of Professor Cheng Weiping in the treatment of ischemic stroke. Methods The electronic medical record data of Professor Cheng Weiping in outpatient department of First Affiliated Hospital, Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine from January 2018 to June 2021 were extracted, related medical records were screened, processed and input into traditional Chinese medicine inheritance computing platform V3.0. Statistical methods such as frequency analysis, cluster analysis and association rules were used to summarize core drugs and summarize the rules of differentiation and treatment. Results A total of 273 prescriptions involving 162 Chinese medicines were included. There were ten Chinese medicines with use frequency > 100, and Persicae Semen and Carthami Flos were used 155 times. There were nine categories of drug efficacy use frequency > 100, and 34 groups of drug combinations ≥60; there were 31 drug combinations with the confidence of drug pair association coefficient ≥0.85. Conclusion Professor Cheng Weiping’s main principles for the treatment of this disease are “promoting blood circulation for removing blood stasis, dispelling wind and evil, purging phlegm and clearing collaterals, tonifying deficiency and invigorating spleen and permeating dampness”.
