Abstract Early onset schizophrenia (EOS) refers to schizophrenia that develops before 18 years of age, and its clinical severity and prognosis are different from adult schizophrenia. As an effective neuroelectrophysiological marker, event-related potentials (ERPs) show great application prospect in patients with schizophrenia. In this paper, P300, mismatch negativity (MMN), N100, and other common components of ERPs are reviewed to explore their clinical application value in EOS patients. It was found that ERPs can be an ideal biological marker for EOS patients, which can help provide appropriate personalized interventions for the early stage of the disease. It provides some reference value for clinical practice to improve the prognosis of this disease.
