Abstract Ideological and political education is the task of college education in the new era. It is a basic requirement for medical practitioners’ medical ethics and style, and it is also a realistic requirement for cultivating qualified builders and successors of the socialist cause. Oral implantology is a new and rapidly developing subject. While conducting professional teaching, it should actively respond to the requirements of ideological and political education in the new era, and integrate ideological and political education into the current teaching system. This article discusses the problems and solutions in the ideological and political teaching of dental implantology. The solution includes taking the syllabus of Oral Implantology as the leading, integrating curriculum ideology and politics into oral implantology classroom teaching; integrating team based learning teaching based on clinical cases into curriculum ideology and politics elements; using online and offline hybrid teaching methods incorporated into the curriculum ideological and political construction, so that students not only learn professional knowledge, but also subtly possess socialist values.
