Analysis on Professor Liu Huanqiang’s experience in treating vitiligo#br#

Abstract  Vitiligo is a common depigmentation disease, which is mainly characterized by the skin color fading or whitening at the lesion, which seriously affects the appearance of patient and brings a greater psychological burden to the patient. Because the treatment of vitiligo costs more and takes longer, the compliance of patient is relatively poor and can’t be adhered to, which directly affects the treatment effect. According to years of clinical practice and dialectical thinking of traditional Chinese medicine, Professor Liu Huanqiang sums up that vitiligo has the pathogenesis of deficiency of liver and kidney, qi stagnation and blood stasis, and deficiency of blood and wind, and puts forward the treatment methods of tonifying liver and kidney, regulating qi and promoting blood circulation, dispelling wind and nourishing blood, and advocates the treatment of vitiligo with hot compress of traditional Chinese medicine. The method is simple to operate, cost-saving, safe and effective, thus improving compliance of patients and having clinical populari zation significance.
