Comparative analysis of digital subtraction angiography and CT angiography imaging features and diagnostic value of intracranial artery stenosis in elderly patients with cerebral infarction#br# |

Abstract Objective To explore and compare the imaging features and diagnostic value of digital subtraction angiography (DSA) and CT angiography (CTA) of intracranial artery stenosis in elderly patients with cerebral infarction. Methods A total of 103 elderly patients with cerebral infarction admitted to the Xuzhou Renci Hospital, Jiangsu Province were selected as the research objects from May 2017 to December 2020. All patients were diagnosed with DSA and CTA, with DSA as the “gold standard”. DSA and CTA image characteristics of intracranial artery stenosis in elderly patients with cerebral infarction were recorded, and the consistency of diagnosis of intracranial artery stenosis was compared between them. Results DSA diagnosis showed normal intracranial artery in seven cases, mild stenosis in 58 cases, moderate stenosis in 23 cases, severe stenosis in 13 cases, and occlusion in two cases. CTA diagnosed normal intracranial artery in 13 cases, mild stenosis in 54 cases, moderate stenosis in 24 cases, severe stenosis in 11 cases, and occlusion in one case. DSA and CTA were highly consistent in the diagnosis of intracranial artery stenosis in elderly patients with cerebral infarction (Kappa=0.748, P < 0.05). Conclusion CTA diagnosis has a high consistency with DSA examination, and CTA has certain value in the diagnosis of intracranial artery stenosis in elderly patients with cerebral infarction.
