Abstract The study of aesthetic education discourse with Chinese characteristics is of great significance to the reorganization of traditional ideological resources and the promotion of Chinese fine culture, it is inevitable route in the course of deepening the transformation and development of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) colleges and universities and cultivating interdisciplinary applied talents. On the basis of sorting out the generation, development and inheritance of the aesthetic education discourse with Chinese characteristics, this paper proposes the guiding, spreading and influencing power of the aesthetic education discourse with Chinese characteristics in English teaching in TCM colleges and universities, and finally expounds the practical strategies of the aesthetic education discourse with Chinese characteristics in English teaching in TCM colleges and universities from teaching method, content and interaction. In the hope of implementing aesthetic education discourse with Chinese characteristics is practical, promoting the coordinated development of aesthetic discourse and language teaching in TCM colleges and universities, improving talents’ training quality in TCM colleges and universities.
