Abstract Pulmonary dysfunction in acute stage of stroke patients is one of the common complications, which affects the follow-up treatment and rehabilitation effect of patients. The application of pulmonary rehabilitation technology in patients with acute stroke can effectively improve their cardiopulmonary function, increase the rehabilitation effect of activity endurance, and nerve function, and comprehensively improve the prognosis of patients. This article reviews the pathogenesis of acute pulmonary dysfunction in post-stroke patients, the evidence-based basis of acute pulmonary rehabilitation of stroke and its clinical application in early rehabilitation of stroke, analyzes and summarizes the problems still exist in the clinical application, and puts forward further research direction to provide scientific guidance for the practical application of the clinical workers and theoretical basis.
