Abstract Injection therapy is an important method for the treatment of rectal prolapse. At present, this method is mainly used in children with incomplete rectal prolapse abroad, and it is also recommended for elderly patients who do not tolerate surgical treatment. For a long time, there are many injectable drugs available in clinic, each of them has its own advantages and disadvantages, none of them has absolute advantages, and there is no unified standard for the concentration and dosage of drugs. Therefore, more rigorous and comprehensive clinical and basic research is needed in the future work to realize the precise application of injection therapy.
