Application of the health education model of knowledge, letter and behavior in the department of infectious diseases in improving the awareness rate of disease-related knowledge among parents of children with scarlet fever#br# |

Abstract Objective To explore the role of the health education model of knowledge, belief and practice in the department of infectious diseases in improving the awareness rate of disease-related knowledge among parents of children with scarlet fever. Methods A total of 100 parents of children with scarlet fever who were admitted to the Department of Infectious Diseases, Children’s Hospital of Capital Institute of Pediatrics from June 2020 to June 2021 were selected as the research objects. According to the random number table method, they were divided into the control group and the observation group, with 50 people in each group. The control group received routine health education guidance, and the observation group received knowledge, belief and action health education guidance from the department of infection, the awareness rate and coping style of the parents of the two groups were compared. Results After the intervention, the awareness rate of disease knowledge in the two groups was higher than before the intervention, and the observation group was higher than the control group (P < 0.05); after the intervention, yield and avoidance subscale scores of the two groups were lower than before the intervention, and the face subscale scores was higher than before the intervention, and yield and avoidance subscale scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the face subscale score was higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion The implementation of health education on knowledge, belief and practice for parents of children with scarlet fever in the department of infectious diseases can significantly increase their awareness of disease-related knowledge, improve their coping styles, and promote disease outcomes.
