Abstract  Objective To investigate the application of directional health guidance based on patients’ feedback in extended nursing after radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA) of paroxysmal supra-ventricular tachycardia (PSVT). Methods A total of 90 PSVT patients treated with RFCA from May 2019 to April 2021 in Jiangsu Provincial People’s Hospital were selected, according to random number table, the patients were divided into routine group and observation group, with 45 cases in each group. The routine group received routine extended nursing intervention after discharge, while the observation group received routine extended nursing and directional health guidance based on patients’ feedback after discharge, and all of them were intervened for three months. The scores of health knowledge before and after intervention, the complete compliance rates of taking medicine and incidence rates of adverse events of anticoagulants were compared between the two groups. Results The scores of health knowledge in the two groups after the intervention were higher than those before the intervention, and the observation group after the intervention was higher than that in the routine group (P < 0.05). The complete compliance rate of taking medicine in the observation group was higher than the routine group (P < 0.05). The incidence rate of adverse events of anticoagulants in the observation group was lower than the routine group (P < 0.05). Conclusion The application of directional health guidance based on patients’ feedback in extended nursing after RFCA of PSVT patients is helpful to improve the level of patients’ health knowledge, improve taking medicine compliance, and it can reduce the incidence rate of adverse event of anticoagulants.
