Methods A total of 100 patients with coronary heart disease and angina pectoris admitted to Liaoning Provincial People’s Hospital from January 2020 to January 2021 were selected, and divided into observation group and control group according to random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing intervention, and the observation group was given problem-oriented health education on this basis, self-management ability, negative emotion, angina pectoris, and quality of life were compared between the two groups after intervention, and treatment compliance was recorded. Results After intervention, the scores of management ability in both groups were higher than those before intervention, and the observation group was higher than the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05); the negative emotion scores of both groups were lower than those before intervention, and the observation group was lower than the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). After intervention, the quality of life score of observation group was higher than control group, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The observation group had better treatment compliance than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion Problem-oriented health education can improve self-management ability, negative emotion, and life quality of elderly patients with coronary heart disease and angina pectoris, which is worth promoting.
