老年人抑郁现状及影响因素分析

Abstract Objective To understand the status quo and influencing factors of depression in the elderly. Methods The 2018 China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Survey (CHARLS) data was used, demographic variables such as gender, age, marital status, education level were selected, and the level of observations on the simplified epidemiological survey center depression scale was used. After excluding samples with missing values, a total of 1581 samples were included for research. Results The survey results showed that 34.9% of the elderly had depressive symptoms. There were statistically significant differences in the scores of depression level among the elderly with different residence, marital status, self-assessed health status, brain intelligence, deafness and disability (P ＜ 0.05). The logistic regression results showed that residence, marital status, whether drinking in the past year, and self-assessed health status were the influencing factors of depression in the elderly (P ＜ 0.05). Among them, compared with the elderly in rural areas, the probability of depressive symptoms in the elderly in urban areas was reduced by 0.34 times (OR = 0.66, P ＜ 0.05); compared with the elderly in unmarried and separated status, the probability of depressive symptoms in the elderly in married was reduced by 0.37 times (OR = 0.66, P ＜ 0.05); compared with the elderly with very good self-assessed health status, the probability of depressive symptoms in the elderly with very poor self-assessed health status increased by 1.73 times (OR = 2.73, P ＜ 0.05). Conclusion A variety of factors jointly affect the depressive symptoms of the elderly, and comprehensive intervention methods should be used to intervene in the depressive symptoms of the elderly.
