Application of diversified self-management health education in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting#br# |

Abstract Objective To explore the influence of diversified self-management health education on the self-management ability and quality of life of patients undergoing coronary artery bypass graft surgery. Methods A total of 128 cases of coronary artery bypass surgery patients admitted to Nantong Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from October 2014 to December 2018 were selected, they were divided into treatment group and control group by random number table, with 64 cases in each group. The control group was given regular health education, and the treatment group was combined with diversified self-management health education. Follow up for six months, the self-management behavior and quality of life between the two groups were compared. Results After six months of follow-up, the self-management behavior scores of the two groups were significantly higher than those before the intervention, the dietary management, compliance behavior, emotional management, and bad habits control scores of the treatment group were higher than those of the control group (P < 0.05). The scores of life quality of the two groups were significantly higher than those before the intervention, the scores of physical limitation, angina pectoris stability, angina pectoris frequency, and disease awareness in the treatment group were higher than those of the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Diversified self-management health education is helpful to enhance the self-management ability of coronary artery bypass graft patients and improve the quality of life.
