Abstract Objective To explore the law of acupoint selection of acupuncture in the treatment of epilepsy based on traditional Chinese medicine inheritance auxiliary platform. Methods The literatures of China national knowledge internet, Wanfang data knowledge service platform and VIP databases from inception to April 2021 were retrieved. Acupoint frequency, core combination and new prescription were analyzed through the use of traditional Chinese medicine inheritance auxiliary platform. Results A total of 80 literatures were included in the study, high frequency acupoints were bǎihuì, shuǐgōu and tàichōng. High frequency meridians were du meridian, foot yangming stomach meridian. Total 11 pairs of acupoint combinations, 14 core combinations, 3 new party were obtained. Conclusion Bǎihuì is the main single point for acupuncture in the treatment of epilepsy, and shénmén-bǎihuì combination is preferred. Calm heart for tranquilization while calming mind for resuscitation, at the same time, the acupoints of du meridian and foot yangming stomach meridian may have better curative effect.
