Application effect of target learning method combined with case-based learning teaching in the teaching of nurse interns in respiratory intensive care unit#br# |

Abstract Objective To explore the effect of target learning method combined with case-based learning (CBL) in the teaching of nurse interns in respiratory intensive care unit (RICU). Methods A total of 100 nurse interns in RICU of Jiangsu Provincial People’s Hospital from March 2018 to March 2021 were selected, according to the random number table method, they were divided into two groups, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was given CBL teaching, and the observation group was given target learning method combined with CBL teaching, and both were practiced for four weeks. The graduation scores, recognition of teaching methods, and teaching satisfaction of the two groups were compared. Results The scores of case-based learning, operation performance, subjective question, and objective question of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, with a statistical significant differences (P < 0.05); the scores of improving critical thinking ability, broadening knowledge, improving self-study ability, clarifying learning objectives, and comprehensively mastering knowledge in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, with statistical significant differences (P < 0.05); the satisfaction degree of teaching of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, with a statistical significant difference (P < 0.05). Conclusion Target learning method combined with CBL teaching can improve the graduation performance and recognition of teaching methods of nurse interns in RICU, and improve teaching satisfaction.
