| Effect of acupuncture in the treatment of patients with post-stroke upper limb hemiplegia and its influence on limb motor function#br# |

Abstract Objective To explore the effect of acupuncture in the treatment of patients with post-stroke upper limb hemiplegia and its influence on limb motor function. Methods A total of 120 patients with post-stroke upper limb hemiplegia admitted to Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from May 2018 to May 2020 were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 60 cases in each group. The control group was given conventional intervention, the observation group was treated with acupuncture on the basis of the control group. The results of electromyography measurement, upper limb Brunnstrom grading, modified Ashworth grading, Fugl-Meyer assessment (FMA) scale score, activities of daily living scale (ADL) score, and the satisfaction of patients were compared between the two groups before and after intervention. Results The Hmax, Mmax, and H/Max values of the two groups after intervention were lower than those before intervention, and the observation group were lower than the control group (P ＜ 0.05). Upper limb Brunnstrom grading, modified Ashworth grading of the two groups after intervention were greater than those before intervention, and the observation group was greater than the control group (P ＜ 0.05). The FMA scale scores and ADL scale scores of the two groups after intervention were higher than those before intervention, and the observation group were higher than the control group (P ＜ 0.05). The satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P ＜ 0.05). Conclusion Acupuncture in the treatment of patients with post-stroke upper extremity hemiplegia can effectively improve limb function, regulate muscle tension, relieve spasm state, effectively improve limb function, and patients have high satisfaction.
