Abstract Due to the good clinical effect of knee arthroplasty, its application in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis is increasing year by year. There are various types of knee arthroplasty and accurate osteotomy is one of the key factors to determine the curative effect of knee arthroplasty. There are many kinds of patient-specific navigation osteotomy instruments made by computer aided design and 3D printing technology, and their functions are different. It can assist the surgeon to find the important anatomical points of knee joint; and can play the role of fixing nails, fixation of osteotomy instrument plate; as the osteotomy instrument to complete part or more osteotomy, it has the advantages of simple operation, small trauma, accurate osteotomy, and can predict the size of knee prosthesis, short learning curve, and realize the personalized and accurate treatment of knee arthroplasty. This article reviews the application of 3D printing patient specific navigation osteotomy instrument in knee arthroplasty.
