Research progress on the mechanism of ginsenoside action in the prevention and treatment of myocardial infarction#br# |

Abstract Myocardial infarction (MI) is one of the major causes of death and disability in the world and involves complex pathological processes. Ginsenosides, the active ingredient of ginseng, have been extensively studied, which can prevent MI through multiple approaches and multiple targets, and have a good protective effect on the cardiovascular system. In this review, the relevant mechanisms of ginsenosides action in the prevention and treatment of MI are elaborated from aspects of myocardial cell apoptosis, inflammatory response, myocardial fibrosis, cardiac angiogenesis, cardiac remodeling, oxygen / glucose supply, etc., in order to provide a reference for the development of new drugs for the prevention and treatment of MI by ginsenosides.
