Application effects of joints continuous passive motion machine training combined with comprehensive rehabilitation therapy in patients with knee joint mobility dysfunction after lower limb fracture#br# |

Abstract Objective To observe the application effects of joints continuous passive motion (CPM) machine training combined with comprehensive rehabilitation therapy in patients with knee joint mobility dysfunction after lower limb fracture. Methods A total of 80 patients with with knee joint mobility dysfunction after lower limb fracture admitted to Huaian First Hospital Affiliated to Nanjing Medical University from January 2019 to January 2021, they were divided into rehabilitation group (40 cases, the comprehensive rehabilitation therapy), the combined group (40 cases, the comprehensive rehabilitation therapy combined joint CPM machine) by random number table method. Three weeks as a course of treatment, the two groups were treated for three courses. Visual analogue scale (VAS) score, range of motion, and knee Lysholm score were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. The clinical efficacy of the two groups was compared. The incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups was recorded. Results After treatment, VAS scores of the two groups were lower than those before treatment, ranges of motion were higher than those before treatment, knee Lysholm scores were higher than those before treatment, and VAS scores of the combined group were lower than those of the rehabilitation group, ranges of motion were higher than those of the rehabilitation group, knee Lysholm scores were higher than those of the rehabilitation group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The clinical efficacy of combined group was better than that of rehabilitation group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). There were no adverse reactions in both groups during treatment. Conclusion In patients with knee mobility dysfunction after lower limb fracture, comprehensive rehabilitation combines with joints CPM machine can relieve pain and improve knee mobility and function, with accurate, safe, and reliable effect.
