Abstract Objective To explore the influence of extended rehabilitation nursing based on family on psychological status and compliance with medical behavior of patients with coronary heart disease complicated with heart failure. Methods A total of 100 patients with coronary heart disease complicated with heart failure admitted to Liaoning Provincial People’s Hospital from June to December 2020 were selected as the research object, and they were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional nursing, and the observation group was treated with family-based extended rehabilitation nursing on the basis of the control group. The mental status scale in non-psychiatric settings (MSSNS) score, mini-mental state examination (MMSE) score, compliance with medical behavior, and complication rate were compared between the two groups. Results After nursing, MSSNS score of two groups was lower than before nursing, MMSE score was higher than before nursing, MSSNS score of observation group was lower than control group, MMSE score was higher than control group (P ＜ 0.05). The compliance of medication, diet, exercise, self-blood pressure monitoring, and regular review in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P ＜ 0.05). The complication rate of the observation group was lower than the control group (P ＜ 0.05). Conclusion Family-based extended rehabilitation nursing can improve the psychological status of patients with coronary heart disease complicated with heart failure, enhance patients’ compliance with medical behavior, reduce the complication rate in the process of rehabilitation.
