Abstract Objective To investigate the effect of task-oriented functional training on limb function improvement in stroke patients with hemiplegia. Methods A total of 300 stroke patients with hemiplegia admitted to the Department of Geriatric Neurology, Jiangsu Provincial People’s Hospital from November 2017 to November 2020 were selected, according to different nursing methods, the patients were divided into control group and experimental group, with 150 cases in each group. Routine functional training was used in the control group, task-oriented functional training was used in the experimental group, tinetti gait analysis (TGA) and functional ambulation category scale (FAC) were used to assess the improvement of limb function, the self-care ability of patients in daily life was evaluated by the self-care ability scale. Results The training efficiency of experimental group was higher than that of control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05); after nursing, TGA and FAC scores of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05). The daily self-care ability in experimental group was better than that in control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05). Conclusion Task-oriented functional training can improve the training effect of stroke patients with hemiplegia, accelerate the recovery of limb motor function of stroke patients, and improve the daily self-care ability of stroke patients with hemiplegia.
