Application of train the trainer model in neurosurgery health education#br# |

Abstract Objective To explore the application effect of trainer the training (TTT) mode in the health education of neurosurgery patients. Methods From July 2018 to August 2019, 48 nursing staff and 880 hospitalized patients in the Department of Neurosurgery, the Third Medical Center of PLA General Hospital were selected as the research objects. From July 2018 to December 2018, 48 nursing staff were trained by conventional health education, and during the same period, 440 patients (control group) were given nursing. Forty-eight nurses were trained in TTT mode from March to August 2019, and during the same period, 440 patients (study group) were given nursing. The theoretical knowledge and operation skill assessment results of nursing staffs in the department after training and patients’ satisfaction with nuring after TTT mode were compared. Results The scores of theoretical knowledge and operational skills of nursing staff after training were higher than those before training, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The satisfaction of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion TTT mode can effectively improve the theoretical level and practical ability of health education of neurosurgical nursing staff, and improve the satisfaction of patients.
